Ireland's first verified dataset on pub sustainability.
Helping the Vintners' Federation of Ireland transform member financial data into verified evidence for better member support, stronger government advocacy, and more informed national decision making.
For the first time, Ireland's licensed trade will operate on a shared, verifiable baseline of financial and operational data. The Viability Index translates the day-to-day reality of running a pub — payroll, energy, insurance, supplier costs, confidence — into a rigorous national dataset that stands up to Departmental scrutiny.
Individual submissions remain fully anonymised. Only aggregated statistics are shared with the Vintners' Federation of Ireland and its policy counterparts.
Members complete a 10-step assessment in under five minutes. Every field is optional except identity — anonymised at source.
Financial and operational inputs are normalised against county, size, and drink/food-led benchmarks.
Each pub receives a private viability score, runway analysis, and forward-looking cost impact.
Aggregated results feed the VFI Intelligence Centre — informing advocacy and Departmental engagement.
The Index has been designed for the level of scrutiny expected by the Department of Finance, the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment, and Oireachtas committees.
